Prednisone Post TX

I'm jsut a little over a year post and I'm already down to the maintenance dose of 5mg. If I have problems they bump it up, but always try to get me back down to the 5mg level. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> But 5mg still messes with my blood sugars... just a thought to prepare for.

I just found out that it was my blood sugar monitor that was messed up. I got a reading of 456....but i knew that couldn't be right. I so tested it 2 more times and it was 125 both times. UHG! I was overmedicating myself.

There was a period of time somewhere in the middle where I was off of prednisone completely for a couple of years.

Jeez, bad meter reading for sure. I'm down to 25mg starting today, my sugars have been tough to keep under 250 so I'm checking it and adjusting more often.
