I'm so excited for you that you're becoming fost/adopt parents. Adopting Christopher was such a blessing in our lives. We were going to adopt an older child, but lucked out when my husband's brother's ex-wife decided to give her baby up for adoption. We took Chris from the hospital when he was two days old. However, kind of like in a fost/adopt situation, the birth parents could have taken Chris from us at any time, until finally at 5 months our adoption was finalized. That story you posted was really touching, and I could definitely relate to the feelings of the fost/adopt mom. I wish the best of luck to you and your husband.
