Pregnancy and Vitamins

Hey Marisa,

I am an RN too, so I will tell you that my knowledge came pretty handy when I was pregnant, as I'm sure you will find as well. My OB's had helped other CF women give birth before too, but sometimes I wondered how much they really had experience with. They sometimes seemed a little clueless with me, so I had to step in with my two cents every once in awhile. Good luck!

My OB had taken care of several women with CF and she also partners with my doc and takes care of all her preggo and so she actually knows all about CF and really really suprised me.

In addition to prenatals, my OB has me taking a DHA supplement. She recommeneded Expecta. Then I found Nature Made prenatal+DHA in one pill at costco for $12 for 90 pills, so I stocked up on those <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> My CF nutritionist also has me taking Viactive (calcium supplements) because, as she said "the baby will takes what it needs from you, so you need extra." I am PS, so I'm not on Adek or anything.
