Hi all! Hope all the moms & mom-to-be's are feeling well. I had my 20 week OB appointment yesterday with ultrasound. The baby looks great, which is a huge relief. My last ultrasound was at 8 weeks, so I was really nervous & hoping things were developing well. My weight is up 10 pounds since getting pregnant which is very exciting for me as I always struggle to gain weight. I have been force feeding myself! Thankfully, it is working.
Today I had my CF appointment. From 4 weeks ago my FEV1 is down from 73% to 66%. Normally, at this FEV1 I feel crappy. Congested, tight, etc, but I really don't. I am a little tighter but still jogging at the same mileage & pace & have not noticed TOO much of a difference, like I usually do when it is time for IV's.
My question is, should my PFT be declining at only 20 weeks pregnant, or could there be an infection brewing? It is just scary to me, because I hate doing nothing about it in case it is an infection. I know too well what can happen if you let an infection go too long-NOT GOOD!
What has been everyone else's experience with this?
I normally do colistin every other month, but my docs do not want me on it while pregnant. I know some of you guys have done colistin during pregnancy, so I am a bit confused with that one.
Please, if you could let me know what your experiences were with pregnancy, PFT decline, & at what point your PFT declined, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks a ton! Take care everyone! I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THIS SITE!
