Problems Eating

As I have gotten older I have grown more and more resentful of eating and it's entire process. I always find that I can eat small amounts and it never seems to be enough even with this damn feeding tube. I haven't been able to gain a pound. One of my biggest problem after I eat I always feel completely sick, like I want to throw up. I've never in my life been able to actually throw up but many times my stomach cramps up so much to the point where all I can do is dry heave (sorry for that image) I used to think it was psycho semetic, all in my head, but now I'm not sure. Does anyone else have this problem, or does anyone have any advice or tips which could help. I am desperate to gain weight!!!

I used to hate eating and struggled to eat. I often had carnation instant breakfast for one or more meals a day and sometimes had something like oatmeal or soup for another. I often couldn't manage to eat much solid food. I no longer have such major issues with eating. I have worked on getting the excess acidity under control, worked on eliminating foods that were a problem for me (like soy, unhealthy oils, peanuts and peanut oil), used alternative remedies to lower the load of bacteria and virii I carry, and worked on healing my gut. I have focused on nutrition, avoiding problem foods, and getting healthier instead of focusing on calories per se. I have also taken a lot of supplements to rebuild a body ravaged by malabsorption and illness. I have gradually gotten healthier. It has taken a long time but there was obvious progress every step of the way which made it worth working at. I never expected to get as far as I have. I was just looking for some relief from the worst of it.

Good luck with this.

I have the same aversion to eating. I hate it. My doctor says it could be tied to constipation, and I do find that taking miralax regularly seems to help, but not completely.
