So, as many know I applied for SSDI back in May. I have not heard anything on the initial determination.

I was however requested about 3 weeks ago to go in and do a PFT by THEIR doctor since they were having trouble obtaining my most recent one from my clinic. I did this and am still waiting.

I'm curious, for those of you who have applied for disability and been requested to do an exam or test, etc. by a SSA doc, how long did you wait after you took THEIR test before getting your acceptance or denial? I thought it would move more quickly than this once they received my PFT and they'd just accept or deny me. (My PFT was within disability range, which I thought would expedite the case even more!)

This is getting so frustrating for me. Especially when I know people are getting approved within a month or two. I sent in all my medical records with my app, as well as a doc's letter, notes on my daily routine, and a spreadsheet of infections, etc. This should have been a fairly easy case if they just looked over what I'd sent them. According to my "case worker" at SSA, the fact I sent these things should "really speed up the process".

Its really starting to wear on me....

Thanks, guys...

I was requested to see their doctor. She was an Asmtha doctor as well, but no PFT was done. She listened to me, asked a bunch of ?? & shortly there after (just a couple weeks) I got my denial.

The whole thing with that doctor was a joke......

This happens with comp cases also!

Not to say that you will be denied, but I happen to get my answer shortly afterwards.
