Regarding my initial question, do you think it would be a good idea to call the social security office that sent me to do the PFT and make sure they've received the results?

I don't want to nag on them, but it was almost 3 weeks ago and I've not heard anything. I was thinking maybe they'd just tell me what the outcome was if I called?

Thoughts?

It cant hurt Sonia. I am not sure how much they will tell you over the telephone, but if you present it that you just want to verify if they got the report from their doctor that might help.

Thanks, Mel!

Well I went ahead and called and found out they HAD made a determination on my case however, it was "randomly selected" for "quality assurance" to go for further determination (i.e. they can either accept the determination or send it back with a new determination)... This will hold up my letter anywhere from 30-60 days according to the rep at the state agency.

The "final" determination letter will come from my local SSA office once they have accepted or "returned" the initial examiner's ruling.

This is ridiculous. Has anyone else had this happen??? Do you think this is a good or bad sign for me?

I'm sitting here in a near panic attack.

They could not tell me results of their determination since it is not "final". So, the stupid thing is now I've got TWO examiners scrutinizing whether or not I'm considered disabled versus the usual ONE set of eyes the average American gets.

Urgghhhhh.......
