Oh, and I already sent in a doc's letter with my initial application! So, this is what stresses me out even more. I have this awesome doc's letter who says I'm incapable of work and according to everyone on here, the doc's letter sealed the deal for their case.

.... BUT, they've had my doc's letter since June. So its obviously not been that big of help in my case? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers on this battle I've been dealing with SSDI...

Today when I went in to check my checking account, I noticed a sum of money had been deposited. I called my bank and they told me it was from Social Security! What?!? I've not gotten a letter or anything!!

I'm still hopefully optimistic that they don't take it out of my account. As you remember two days ago the lady said they had made a decision but it was forwarded on to "quality control" to make the final decision. So....

I'm hoping they don't find me NOT disabled at quality control and take the money out. LOL! That would be my luck. LOL!

Anyway, just wanted to share my good news!

As you may remember I appealed all the way up to the federal level in 2001, but didn't have a knowledgable lawyer fighting for me and lost my case (even though I met the TOBI criteria).

Now, 7 years later, it looks like I'm finally considered disabled and they SEE that I met the criteria!!!

Oh, I am just so happy... And its so bittersweet cause my husband who spent so many countless sleepless nights with me worrying is deployed. I wish I could tell him and get a big hug from him!!!

Thanks to everyone who kept me positive these last several months. And, a HUGE thank you to Julie who helped me get the ball rolling and knowing what I needed to submit to get accepted. God Bless you.

My $$ was in my account before I had my paperwork. Remember that one is electronic & the other is snail mail!

CONGRATS (hopefully optimistic of course)
