Pulmonary rehab

I know of atleast one person on this site who is currently doing pulmonary rehab. Does anyone (post transplant even) have any information about this? The idea of starting it was tossed around at my last clinic appointment and I need to decide by this upcoming Wednesday if I want to start or not. The thing is, my doctor didn't explain it at all. What does it entail? Will it make me feel better or make me feel like crap? Is it possibly going to change my need for 24/hr oxygen at all? I was told it would help with my endurance and energy levels. If I could get better endurance with exertion and more energy I am definitely in. What are the pros and cons of doing it? Is this something everyone has to do when they are considering transplant?

Thanks for the help!

Most, if not all, transplant centers require pulmonary rehab. I don't know much about it; but, it is suppose to keep you in better shape in order to recover better and get on your feet faster post-transplant. I do believe they try to build your endurance and attempt to get you to go further and require less o2 (I am not 100% sure on that though). Read Breezy's Blog from the other day dated June 16th. It is a VERY good breakdown of what a typical rehab session may be. Though she is a little burned out about it in her blog She still did a good job of breaking it down for all of us though I don't think that was her intent It is good....go check it out.
