Here is one article that is more recent regarding essential oil of cinnamon.

I have read rather conflicting things on cinnamon bark vs. oil. It seems that oil is much more effective against pseudo than the bark.

And salty,
How are you? You are so funny!!! i don't know that much. Anything I do know is a direct result of me having no life I am really quite boring and when my hubby is playing golf, I like to read.... I tend to remember things as I see them so anything that directly applies to me, my brain earmarks!! I have been known however, to read too fast and not grasp the full impact of the articles I am reading.... My brother had a photographic memory, mine is NOT like that.

I don't know about dosages. i don't think there is any info on that subject....at least not that I have found. To help blood sugar issues, there is a lot of info, however. What I have found is that cinnamaldehyde is the most effective antimicrobial of the properties of cinnamon. Look for brand that has a high percentage of this.. I like the new chapter cinnamon force brand It is a good mix of cinnamon bark and cinnamaldehyde... They "claim" it is nature's proportional mix of both of them.

I take two a day of these. I suppose that you could just buy the essential oil of cinnamon. I have NOT done that though. But, I did that with oregano oil and had terrific results with it.

How are you supposed to take the cinnamon oil? That stuff totally tears up mucous membranes (the mouth) something fierce. Just topical on the skin? I can't see putting drops of cinnamon oil under the tongue. For those who think oregano oil is strong, you aint seen anything till you put cinnamon oil in your mouth.

Like I said Fausty, I have never tried that.

I do put a half teaspoon of powdered cinnamon in my cinnamon/clove tea at bedtime. It warms my tummy and throat, but does not give me heartburn.

I don't know about y'all, but my mom made cinnamon toothpicks for me to chew on/ suck on growing up. They were soaked in essential cinnamon oil overnight and then she let them air dry. My brother and I then chewed them for days. They burned your mouth like a son of a biatch, but it was a good burn

I have never just done the cinnamon drops on their own.
