she should do the Xopenex before the vest and do the pulmo or saline with her vest to help loosen the stuff up. you want to make sure the airways are open before you try to shake everything loose. the TOBI should come after all of this. There are some that say you should do the inhaler before the TOBI and others that say after. I do it both ways and don't notice a difference.

hope that helps and sorry if someone else posted this too...i didn't read all the responses

There seems to be quite a bit of debate about the correct order on this site. I have always seen the order that was posted in the CF newsletter above; however, a few days ago there was a discussion about this with suggestions to do pulmozyme before HS. Some of that does make sense to me since HS is so irritating, but I know a lot of centers recommend pulmo after HS and clearance. I have tried pulmo before HS this week and don't notice much of a difference, but I am really clear right now and I was before I tried that change. Bottom line, I am left confused I know if I ask my doc, he will insist on the old way and I don't really have much to back up my reasoning other than to say I read it on this forum. How much weight do we carry against the docs, we should carry a lot, but somehow I doubt that we do.
