I had something similar to swine flu. I never get fevers or aches when I am sick..and about a month ago I had a fever and ahces and was pretty sick. I never got tested for the flu, so I dont really know. But I was feeling better once I was on the tamiflu...although it did move to a chest cold and I needed oral abx as well.

It wasnt overly terrible. I was exhausted, horrible head aches. And my knees, hips and ankles had pretty bad aches. I also had the normal cold symptoms, cough, stuffy nose.

I "heard" that pregnant woman are among the "higher risk" group if infected with H1N1. "Higher risk" meaning that they are more susceptible to complications/severe illness...gotta weigh your options!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"></end quote></div>

Yes, that's right, pregnant women are at a higher risk. We had quite a few in intensive care here (with no other underlying problems). One lady also had a pre mature labour.

The vaccine wont be ready for a while yet.

Yup... Affect me just like the regular flu does - 2 days of fever laying in bed and drinking lots of Oj and chicken soup.

-There is NO WAY they will get me to get the vax, hell the last vax killed more people than H1N1 did. 36,000 people die A YEAR from the regular flu...I don't understand why everyone is freaking out of this flu...

I still have alot of looking into it to do but I have always been one who has gotten the flu shot every year. I am already considered a double high risk pregnancy with my CF and my blood factor problems so its all kind of scary for me.
