Hmm. Maybe you could check around (perhaps call the manufacturer?) and get the machine checked to make sure it is working properly? This would only apply, though if it is that they lose it over 2-3 years of use, as opposed to some components simply aging and losing it (like carseats and their expiration date- the plastic isn't as strong as it ages).

And don't forget to get a new filter if you do use it .

And I think I have 2 compressors I will throw away now- funny this is here, I looked at one about an hour ago and thought- I really should throw that almost 20 year old thing away. Basements, the catch all for the ages...

I agree with lightnlife. Devilbliss aren't the pick of the litter. I have one from years ago that I now keep as a back up at my fiance's house in case I'm staying the night or just particularly wheezy. Hope it works for you...even though it might not be the greatest nebulizer, you can't beat getting one for only $5, lol.

I have never heard of a Pulmo Mate. If it works, I wouldn't see why you couldn't use it. If you just use it as a back-up or in case something happens to your primary one. I would say having it as a back-up would be better than having nothing at all.

I have had my Pulmo-Aide (Devillbiss) since 1989. It still works fine. I use it twice a day. I think I have only had to take it in once to get repaired. I must have lucked out and got a good one since everybody else seems to have had bad luck with DeVillbiss.
