I have the Hill-Rom Vest. The frequency I use is 14. The pressure I use is 4 or 5. I was told I could go as high as 6 with the pressure . I use my vest three times per day for 30 minutes.

DS has a hill rom vest and for the most part has a pressure of 10 and then with frequency starting at 10 and going up to 15 to 16 over 30 minutes of time and cough breaks every 5 minutes.

I've been using 12 Hz recently since I haven't been well, but normally I do 15 Hz and it helps me bring up the most gunk. I do pressure between 6 and 7 depending on how I feel.

I wouldn't emulate my therapy sessions because I spent years working up to it, I do the VEST (hill-rom) WITH my Flutter, so I tailored it to progress with my Flutter therapy session. Although I was told to not go higher than a certain amount, I have my vest tailored so that as my Flutter treatment gets heavier, my vest program progresses from 12hz/6pressure to 18hz/9pressure (and slowly hits all the numbers in between on an 8 program point cycle).
I like to hit my lungs hard so I don't have to think about it as much the rest of the day. My brother can't do this, it's too rough on him, he leaves it at one setting and lets it run for 30 minutes.
Again it took me awhile to build up to this. I would talk to your doctors and the VEST specialist and they will help you set up a program that suits you. That's what they did for me, then I tailored it a little to what I needed (err... in short made it more intense).
One of these days I should play with some different settings (like leaving the pressure at one lever and making the frequency change, or visa versa), but it's worked for me so far.
Hope that helps any!
