Really frusterated and looking for help, sigh.

Hey there,

I know exactly how you're feeling. I'm in the same boat. Been on IV's since September with only a 3 week relief. They keep changing up the antibiotics to no avail. My FEV is down to 56%; my baseline is between 75-80. I'm out of breath with the most mundane tasks like taking a shower or getting ready for work in the morning. My doctor can't pinpoint why this is happening so often and he's claiming that my lungs sound clear but I'm coughing up all kinds of green gunk and plugs. Awful awful. This infection has brought on awful joint pain and back pain which just makes a work day seem like an eternity. I have to keep working though because I have to keep up on my bills.

He upped my Pulmozyme treatment to 2x a day, he prescribed the new Aztraneum inhalation treatment, and I've been doing double time CPT. Plus he put me back on Prednisone. I just started this new regimen, I'll let you know if it helps! Until then, feel better!! <img src="i/expressions/iv.gif" border="0">

Thank you everyone for all of your nice words and support.

The 2nd abx seems to be helping, so I will be curious to see where I am at my next visit on Tuesday.
