Hey, everyone!

I know many had been asking for ways to add calories a while back (I think originated with someone's mom wanting to add oil, etc. to infant's intake??)

Anyway, I read on a weighlifting/bodybuilding site that a trainer actually adds 2-3 Tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil to his SMOOTHIES (2 times a day)! each Tbsp. is around 120 calories.

He mentioned to start small and gradually increase to adding that amount if you are able to "tolerate it" and not be chained to your toilet (LOL), but I thought I'd post here that maybe its a good way to mask the taste... just throw it in a smoothie with fruits and yogurt and juice and blend. I think I'll try it tonight!!!

We've been adding light tasting olive oil to our 5yo's food for 2 years. It's really an easy way to add calories. She now prefers most of her food to have the oil added. We just squirt some on her meat and veges and we add it to her oatmeal in the morning. Each teaspoon added requires an extra creon 5.

Our nutritionist told us to add oil (olive or other) to my daughter's meals as soon as she got started on solids.
