Hey Everyone! We have our next appointment with Paige's Dr. on the 10th. For those of you who don't know, we have to travel a little over 250 miles one way. I'm going up alone this time, just me and Paige, and since it's supposed to be snowing in our region, our Case worker booked us at the Ronald McDonald house. This will be our first time ever at a RMH house, and I was wondering, what can I expect? I reminded our Case Worker that Paige can't be around other sick people, nor can I, and she doesn't think it should be a problem. Our hospital has put protocols in place to try to prevent sick siblings, and people from visiting, and the RMH house won't let anyone sick stay there (they make reservations at hotels for them). I'm still kinda nervous about everything else though. Any suggestions on What not to forget, or What to take?
On the same note, does anyone ever feel "guilty" about taking help? The Children's Miracle Network, and RMH is all paid for by donations (with the exception of a small government grant), and I always feel like their services could go to someone more needy then us. Don't get me wrong, I'm not above asking for the help, or taking it, because we truly honestly do need it. This year has been very hard on us. However, like I said, I know there are families who are suffering more then us.
Anyways, as always thanks for any suggestions & advice!!
