Amy,
I have clinic on Friday. I'm going to try and get my doctor to prescribe the Kalydeco for me (I'm homozygous DF508). I really would like to hear an update from you......

Hey I think it's wise for me to do an update like Mandy's after a few weeks.

Definitely ask your doctor to try Kaly - there's no harm to your health in trying!

Beck, please post if you are successful. I am also homozygous DF508 and would be interested to see if anyone got the drug. I have an appointment at the beginning of April but am not optimistic.

Refer your physician to the following thread and when you go to get the script filled just hope your insurance agrees to cover it. Good Luck!!

I tried to get my doctor to prescribe Kalydeco, but he didn't. He didn't know how others are getting it because they are requiring proof of mutation.
I didn't push it because my center is starting a combo trial and I really want to do it. They are not going to want me if I am already on Kalydeco.
