I've been trying to think up more and more high calorie, preferably inexpensive, preferably more healthy, meal ideas.
My weight is doing well, but the same meals over and over definitely get old, and I'd love to share my regular meals and eating habits with you all.

So please share with me and everyone else some of your favorite high calorie meals! Lets help each other out with some ideas.

Here are some of my favorites/most common meals:

Snack: Peanuts.
I've always got a can of Peanuts, Honey roasted or Cashews etc. that I'm usually munching on between meals. According to my nutritionist Peanuts are one of the HEALTHY fats you can eat, so I gotten kind of addicted to them for that reason.

Lunch/Snack: Saltine Crackers and Peanut Butter.
Usually when I want a snack/mini meal when I get home from work I'll smother peanut butter on saltine crackers and have some juice, it's surprisingly good especially if you have apple/mixed juice with it. You can buy a huge package of Saltine crackers for like two bucks at walmart, and ofcourse Peanut Butter isn't that expensive.

Fancy/Full/Delicious meal: (MY FAVORITE!) Grilled Swiss Cheese and Bacon sandwich with Tomato Soup.
This is VERY simple to make, the ingredients are inexpensive, it's DELICIOUS, fancy, a full meal, and is LOADED with healthy calories.
All I do is get a big package of aged swiss cheese, some whole grain bread, bacon, and a can of tomato soup.
I usually slap some Mayo on the slices of bread, stick one piece of Swiss on each slice of bread and stick each piece of bread and swiss in the oven (Cheese up, ofcourse) so that it can grill and melt the cheese in while I'm making the bacon and tomato soup.
Then I cut the bacon in half to that it fits better on the bread, so I have three pieces of bacon which equals six half pieces (for two sandwiches), throw the bacon on the bread/cheese, close the sandwich so it's bacon melted into the swiss... Make the tomato soup with milk, or if that's TOO creamy do half milk half water, ofcourse whole milk will give more calories.
And that's it! I love dunking my grilled swiss cheese and bacon into the tomato soup, it's like heaven. SOOOO GOOD!
You have loads of calories from the bacon, from the swiss, from the Mayo, and from the milk you put in your soup. It's healthy (for the most part), and VERY VERY tasty if you like that kind of thing.
Honestly, I just started making these for myself and didn't even think about calories, I just LOVED the taste, then when my nutritionist asked me what I usually ate on average, I told her about this "bit of heaven" I had discovered and she was overjoyed as she pointed out all the caloric intake, I was like "oh!... right! that too....." lol.

Not so healthy, but a full meal, tasty, and with leftovers: Hamburger Helper!
Is it that obvious I'm a bachelor? It's easy to make (just a pound of ground beef and a package of hamburger helper), inexpensive for the most part because you'll probably have leftovers, and it's PACKED with calories. Plus it's guy proof, just brown the meat and follow the instructions on the package!

Well there are some of my most common meals, if I can think of more I'll add them later. Please share your favorite/most common meals! I'd love to try some new things!

I have tons and tons of recipes I love but I'll just give you the easy mode bachelor one.

Turkey Devonshire (Sorry I don't have an exact recipe here, but you can just make it to taste)

Basically this is just an open faced hot turkey sandwich with a twist. Get 2 slices of bread, put thick slices of turkey on each, and top with fresh slices of tomato and bacon. Then, top with cheese sauce of your choice (canned or from a recipe) OR just toss on shredded cheddar cheese. Pop it into the oven, uncovered, to let the sandwich heat and the cheese melt and bubble. Enjoy!

Also, this is very good with french fries if you have extra cheese sauce to pile on top. Dip your fries in the cheese sauce while you eat the sandwich.

Not sure of the exact calorie content of this but it's definitely not a diet food.
