Hey guys I just came across this information on Risa's website and wanted to share it with those here. I know I met Vicki - aka Shoshanna - on this site a while back and thought others may be interested in this news as well.

According to Risa's post she was called this past Friday and had her surgery late that night - early into Saturday morning. All seems to be going well thus far.

This is the last update from her Caring Bridge site for those interested and unable to access the site.

Vicki had an okay day. She is very tired, but hospitals never let you sleep because too much to do. She has had trouble keeping liquids down, so they're trying to address it. Last night, they removed the I.V. From her neck and arm after installing a pic line in her arm, which is much more comfortable. Today, she was able to sit in a chair for much of the day and walked a few steps. She would have walked further, but was too tied up to wires and tubes. Her lungs are doing well and they reduced her oxygen substantially, but she did fine even without as much. She is not in too much pain from the surgery itself, although has an epidural to help. She does have some stomach issues causing a lot of discomfort, however. Her incisions are incedibly undetectable with a new procedure they recently started to avoid having to break through the breast bone. Hopefully, she can get some sleep and start eating and holding things down soon as they continue to fine tune her meds. She is still in intensive care probably until they fix the stomach issues.

I am not sure how often Vicki comes back to check this site, as I have not seen her on here in some time. If you want to leave a message for her I am sure she would LOVE it, but maybe leave it here and on her caring bridge site.

I am so thrilled for her and wish her all the best!!!

YAY!!! VICKI - you deserve this!
