Actually the port needle should be changed every week according to our doctor. My daughter Hayley just got her port a little over a month ago and it is in her chest, below her left breast. So we had her just stand in the bathtub an washed her off that way. My hubby held hger over the kitchen sink to wash her hair and we used the sprayer in the kitchen sink to rinse it.
