If you know what mutations Wade has then a genetic screening is much easier. They know what to look for so they don't have to run the entire gene. This argument usually helps in getting it done. Its not as complicated, doesn't take as long, and is therefore cheaper. They wouldn't even neccisarrily need to send it to Ambry.

Our doc told us that they wouldn't do a genetics test right away - that insurance wouldn't cover it, that our other child would need to have the sweat test - but now, all these stories of having normal sweat tests and still having the mutations kind of scares me!!!!

It's not that I have given up.....NOT HARDLY. I will get the genetic test one way or another on my boys. I was just wondering if I was the only one hitting my head on the wall. I spent enough time doing that with getting wade diagnosed....know what I'm saying. And at first when he was......they were all gung-ho gonna test the other kids......well, then they tell me they will start with sweat tests and go from there. think it's a waste myself.



But yeah, I will get it FOR SURE. Thought maybe there might be a trick or two to make it happen easier.

no prob. Wade is doing better...thought I'd throw that in there.....started pulmozyme a few days ago.....so far so good. He is still a little wheezy when I listen to him. But is eating a little bit now. Thanks everybody for the responses. I wish there was a law to back me up....lol. oh well, maybe someday. I am sick today with stomach issues. so throw up a prayer for me to recover fast, and a prayer for my family to stay healthy. Thanks Y'all!
