Sinus Infections

Prior to when DS started pulmozyme at 2 1/2, his nose NEVER EVER ran. It was full of thick rubbery boogers that we'd try to get out with saline spray and the bulb syringe. I was amazed the very first time he tried pulmozyme -- we used a mask -- and his NOSE ran. I was amazed.

And ditto on the sinus rinses. It's so incredibly easy and amazing how much junk DS gets out. He started doing it when he was 4. I just about lost my cookies the first time he did it and all that crud came out.

My son has had sinus problems and we were doing nasal rinses for a while but he started not wanted to do them and we couldn't get him to do it unless we physically held him down to do it which was just not doable. So we decided to just take a break.

Well now he's got a sinus infection and I'm thinking about showing him the video of your daughter and seeing if I can get him to do it again.

I was having sinus infections too due to blockage. I went to the ENT and he prescribed Flonase. I took it for a few months (aggressively!) and amazingly the polyps shrunk. The ENT took a look at my nose and was amazed at the effect. He said he had never seen Flonase work so well on anyone before. I can breath much better now (although i still have a little blockage on one side) the sinus infections have gone away. I also supplement this w. Sinus Rinse twice a day.
