My sinuses HURT sooooooo bad. I am taking motrin more than I probably should be, but it really does help. I am hoping it is allergy related and will get better, but I don't have a clue what to do in the meantime. I am tempted to call the ENT, but I fear that he will suggest surgery again, which I don't really want to do. I am thinking I should try and hold off until after Christmas so that I will be in tip top shape for my wedding (which is in April). If I did surgery now, the pain and pressure would probably be back by wedding time.
Do you take a decongestant? I can't remember if decongestants are good for CFer's or not. I take zyrtec, and sinus rinses every day, but its not helping. Do you take aleve? I did not have any motrin with me a few days ago and took an aleve from my cousin and that seemed to take effect much faster even than the motrin. Which would be better for a CFer? Is there even any difference? I have been taking up to 4-5 motrins a day, but with the aleve I only needed one. I worry about taking too much motrin sometimes without getting the prescription strength (which is another option...I have also been on the motrin therapy before...800 mgs twice a day).
What are your suggestions? What do you do for yourself? Please let me know!
