has anyone ever used this sinus irrigation system. My doc wants to get it for me; but, I called the company and there is really no way to properly sterilize it. That just seems way too risky to me. It is called sinus dynamics.

Hi, I went you the site and I don't believe this is an irrigation system, it is a nebulizer. From the description, there has to be a way to sterilize the nebulizer cup. Have you called them to find out about it?

If sinus nebulizer treatment is what your doctor wants, you can use a Pari nebulizer with a sinus attachement that will do the same thing.

My daughter, Rachel's, ENT had her do some nebulized sinus treatments. He went through a particular pharmacy that supplied the antibiotic as well as the Pari nebulizer with a sinus attachement instead of a mouthpiece. They sent it all together by mail.

I perform sinus rinses, but never use anything sterile. My ENT - which my CF dr referred b/c he works w/ a lot of CF patients - never stated that it had to be sterile. Huh... curious to see others' responses.

Im new to the irrigation thing and was kinda nervous about it, but its really no big deal. I live in Ontario so im not sure if it's a canadian product or not, but what I use is a bottle called Neilmed. You boil water and let it cool and add a packet of sinus rinse and begin the irrigation. There is also something called Neti Pot, and it's similar to a teapot, but I never really understood the consept.

There is one thing you must remember when using this. Remember to breath. Open your mouth and breath normally...not deep breath's. I find if i concentrate on the breathing I don't focus on the fact that water is going up one side of my nose and out the other.
Good Luck if you decide to give it a try.
