Sit with me

I am going to respond to my own thread now that I had a chance to hear from all of you. We are very lucky at this point in time because we don't have to do nebs. Sitting with Sheila during therapy has become part of our lives as well as hers. We do take turns and there are times when we play cards, computer games, game cube games or just watch tv (turned up as loud as it will go LOL) Thank you all for sharing your daily cf situations. This web site certainly has made a difference to me and understanding cf. I am viewing blogs and threads daily and although I don't know any of you personally, your great! Thanks again.

I find that Ryan's treatments are a good way for me to finally slow down during the day. By the time I finish work at the hospital, rush home to pick him up, get the other one started with homework and get dinner started, I feel like a rushing maniac. I sometimes really enjoy the treatment times because it allows me to stop and take a breath (no pun instended).

Ryan and I usually watch some of his favorite shows (thank goodness for TiVo) or we just snuggle on the sofa. I know my husband really enjoys the morning snuggle time with Ryan as well. I consider it important quality time. However, there are those days that an extra hand would be mighty nice.

These forums are so wonderful. It is so amazing to be a part of something where you can get so much support and guidance from so many people who know exactly what you are going through. God bless you all

Just had to share. On Saturday afternoon, I yelled to DS that it was time to do his vest. Walked into the living room and he was standing there with his eyes closed and announced he wasn't Max, he was a cactus. And yes, he's not wearing any pants. Toddlers... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

We got it last fall -- I've been recording lots of stuff. And the best part is we can pause something while we're watching it or rewind if we miss something 'cuz there's too much noise, changing nebs... Or if we just want to repeat something over and over again just to laugh.

When my dd was younger-she is 13 now we had to do the pounding, that was tough, we watched tv during that time. then when she went to the flutter for a few years I read to her. We got through the entire Laura Ingalls Wilder books and a few other series. now that we have the vest-thank goodness-that has been a lifesaver for both of us. She is old enough that she does it when she gets home from school and will im her friends, or watch tv. there are times that i miss the spending the time with her and the reading to her-but i am glad that she is becoming independent and will be able to handle this on her own someday.-so i guess my suggestion to all the young parents out there-is that this can be some of the fun time and it will be gone soon and your little ones will want to do it on their own. you should treasure this time that they want to be with you-it won't last.
