Skin peeling

I'm finding people are saying it's related to aquagenic palm wrinkling. CFer's tend to get pruned very quickly in water. I think the peeling happens some time later and might be related.

I was so wondering about this too. Mariah had a pretty bad virus that got her dehydrated enough to need fluids at the hospital. She wasn't able to eat for almost four days. After we got home, her fingers and toes peeled and I wondered if it may be CF related or something else.

my daughter has had this happen before too.....i think along time ago there was another post about it on here also and it was said that the peeling was in fact somehow related to aquagenic wrinking of the hands and feet. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I have this quite often. It *hurts* so bad! The skin literally peels until it can't peel anymore. I wish I knew what caused it.

I have that happen too and it usually seems to be in the summer for me, and I get the little blister bumps usually on my fingers. I always just figured it had something to do with how much I sweat in the summer as my sweat tends to be extremely salty. I just figured the salt dried out/irritated my skin, but when I was younger and swam more my toes did the same thing.

I believe it has to do with the wrinkling of the skin after being in water also. Zoe has it happen a lot more during swim season. Her palms and feet peel. We try to put a very good moisturizing lotion on her after swimming or bathing, that seems to keep it at bay.
