Amy,

That study was done in Spain...I mention it because they also did one on Asthma which showed kids who ate green beans and fish had reduced asthma and allergy symptoms.

I had a long talk with a canine nutritionist (pet food store owner) about Evening Primrose Oil vs. Fish Oil. It was confusing...the gist was that you want the right ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 to get a healthier, less itchy dog. I wonder what ratio is needed to improve lung function.

I agree with the concern over mercury. It's important to choose ones that are mercury-free if you go the fish-oil route.

Interesting about green beans in Melissa's link. My kids all love them, as well as cucumbers (also mentioned) and while they aren't nuts about whole tomatoes (also mentioned), love sauce; Emily will eat it in enormous quantity. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Another reason to eat veggies!
