Today they want a culture out of me to test for the MAC. Sucky for me too, I have been pretty damn clear since my IV's. Last time there, I did my nebs and my vest before going in, and was barely able to produce a small speck of green for them after a massive coughing fest. Im doing my nebs now, but not doing my vest. I read up on it last night, and it said it can take a long time for them to DX it via the culture for some reason...so sucky. I figured my good health was too lucky to last. MAC sounds like gods insurance to kill off the healthy CF's when the other stuff fails.

Question: You said your health went down hill very fast...weight loss, fever, and all that stuff. If I have MAC, how come I feel fine? I feel amazingly good. He did mention it could also be my staph eating away also. I have no prob accepting I have MAC, but I feel so damn good, as compared to you saying you felt like crap...Oh well, time will tell. Not fun having to deal with the health dept, reporting I had TB and notifying just about everyone I knew that they were exposed to TB and should be tested. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">
