Hey guys. I am currently on my parents insurance as all my medications are very costly. My mom just lost her job and my job does not supply me with many hours, I also attend school. I never explored the idea of social security benefits for my CF...but is this possible? would I be able to recieve any such help? I am not in bad condition, i have recieved a lung transplant 5 years ago and am doing wonderful. What type of financial help can I recieve

If you get medicaid generics are $1 copay and brand name are $3... that's it. (may vary by state). I don't know anything about being approved by SS. Maybe you should give Beth Sufian a call...

My daughter didn't have insurance when she was first diagnosed due to a misplaced form so we had to apply for medicaid both retro-actively and until she could get back on her mom's insurance and we haven't been responsible to cover even a single dollar of her hospital stay or any of the medications she gets. It was almost like a blessing even though we were seriously freaked out while it was getting approved!
