I am home!!!
With 30 mg of prednisolon for a week and taper it after that with 5mg every 3 days.. Atrovent nebs 4 to 6 times a day, i usually do 4 (or 3..) And ehm.. no Imuran (anti recjection med) for a while.
This all has to tackle this thing that is bothering me. My overall feeling of feeling 'off' and very tired might have to do with the EBV, and the stopping of Imuran has to tackle that. They have the feeling that EBV usually acts up in tx patient when the anti rejection meds are a little too high. And while you can't 'measure' the dose of Imuran (and other meds like Imuran) they have to try something. I was on 75 mg since my tx but since now it has been stopped for a bit to let the EBV go down. After that i am getting back on Imuran but most likely less then 75 mg.
Where i get the pressure from and the shortness of breath is still a mystery, we can't find anything..
It is most likely no rejection. When that would be the case it has been going on for a little over a week now and then my pft's would have really been down now.
I have to keep checking my pft's and temp (i was just getting much better about not doing them and not worrying too much, guess that confidence is going down a bit now..) and keep a short leach with the hospital when something is wrong or when it feels wrong. They know i will call them so they are confident that i could go home.
I have to come back in 10 days. They will let me come to the clinic a lot now for a while. To check up on me, 'see how i look'. Check my pft's. I can only do fev1 at home. And they can check more in the hospital ofcourse, like the smaller airways.
I did pft's in the hospital yesterday and they were really good. Ofcourse i was on Atrovent nebs along with the Serevent so it wasn't that strange that i blew a record! Yay! But that was still good to see. Everything was better, the smaller airways too.
At least i'm home now, it's time for bed, my own bed again <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
