Something new in the mix

Marjolein, I know that pleurisy can be viral for sure...I have had it numerous times and it sounds so much like what you describe. Everytime I had it, the docs said it was viral and gave me anti inflammatories such as prednisone and ibuprofen. I think they even gave me toradol once, but that one is really harsh on the belly. Hang in there my friend...again, prayers and warm thoughts for you! Jenn <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

That must be what my doc is thinking about then.. I guess... He didn't say it but i think it is what he described.

But i guess they want to know for sure.. that is why they check for everything and they want the pred to work soon. As the pressure could still mean rejection too.

I'll keep you all updated!

So i am most likely going home later today

Things are still the same really. My doc is still not happy with the way i look (chest is rounder again, still more short of breath). But he can't find anything..

Most likely the bronch results won't show anything and when that is the case i can go home.

I might have to go back to the hospital every week or every two weeks, just to let them check me.
I can do pft's at home but only measure my fev1. That is still good and the small airways are good too, according to my pft's here. But they want to check me over some more. I just have to keep everything in check at home, that the numbers don't fall all of a sudden.

They just did a bloodtest for EBV again. As that has gone from 4 what is good, to 20 5 weeks ago. And now it was 32 earlier this week.. They have not seen these symptoms with EBV before so it's most likely not the cause. But this has to be treated anyway.

That rubbing sound is gone again today... You only hear it when breath out and if it would have been something to do with the pleura then it would have been there when i breath in too. It was most likely a complication from the bronch on wednesday. My doc thinks that what he hears now are the muscles, because my breathing is heavier, they have to work harder..

So my next message will probably be from home again!
