Hey Kat

Thank you for your suggestions. I think i don't have hayfever (it's autumn overhere) and i am already on 2x 14 hundred something i think mg magnesium a day. Have been ever since my transplant.

I had a bronchoscopie today where they checked the scarring (where they connected the lungs) and you almost couldn't see that so that was good. They also didn't see any mucous. They did a lavage and send it to the lab for cultures, specially viruses.
They also did an ECG and that showed nothing is wrong with my heart and they did an x-ray of my sinusses, nothing shocking there really too..

End of this afternoon i got more short of breath and my chest started to hurt more.
The nurse practitioner lungtx just came to see me so i told her and she got the doctor for me.
He listened to my lungs and heart my lung sort of rub against the side, up and down. Don't know how to say it. But i hope you all understand.

He said this most likely is a result of a virus. He said what is outside my lungs (don't know how to call it in english) is probably very irritated and really acting up.
He hopes something will show in the bronch results tomorrow.
He upped the pred again after they decided to taper it down again on monday. So i will get 30 tomorrow and 5 mg less every day. I also get Ventolin nebs 4 times a day to help my breathing. And paracetamol to relieve the pain so can breath with more ease too. He also said that if i feel like i could use o2 i could have it. But my sats are still really good at 99% so that's not for now..

Hopefully this course of treatment will help and show that it is really a virus and no rejection.

I think i will be here till after the weekend but i'm not sure.

If everything will go ok i will have internet in my room tomorrow! I can't wait cause i miss you all!

xx, Marjolein

Oh, Marjolein! I was on vacation and just read your updates and all you've been going through. You've got such a good attitude about it all... I hope you're doing alright and trying to keep you spirits high. I am glad to hear that most of what they're finding out seems totally normal... but sometimes not knowing is even worse to deal with... So, may God grant you peace to deal with all this. Please keep us posted and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Im sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. What you describe sounds a lot like pleurisy . When the pleura gets inflammed, sometimes you can hear a rubbing sound ( called Pleural rub) I had that once and damn that was annoying and painful. I could actually feel the rubbing as i would breathe in and out. I was thanking God when it finally subsided. I will Pray for you Marjolein that you have a full smooth recovery
