i am actually in-patient at akron children's right now. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I'd really rather not be here but hey, what can you do?

my niece used to go to cincinnatti before they moved and she was really pleased there. i'll have to ask what dr she had. they were very on top of treatments, meds, etc. and made my sister feel very good about the care that my niece had while at that hosp.

I get my inhaled Aztreanam from Columbus. Columbus is a much bigger center....they see about 400-500 patients. I think Cincinnati is about 150?? Columbus is involved in a LOT of research projects. They have very good infection control....all patients wear masks in the waiting room. I like that. I have seen 2 docs there and I like them both.....most of the nursing staff has been there for years. Some more than 20 years. Karen McCoy is the director and I hear she has done some amazing things over the years.

I have never been to Cincinnati. They are the subject of a VERY good article on Noexcuses blog site. The article is called "the bell curve" and I would highly suggest reading it. The link to her blog is on her signature line in all of her posts (saveferris). I like that Cincinnati seems to have a very active web presence that allows you to look at PFT's and bloodwork. Again, I have not visited them; but, I just saw this on their website.
