I had to do some convincing with an a-hole from Alaska airlines at baggage check. I'd recommend getting a doctors note just in case, stating that it's necessary medical equipment. The people at the gate were super cool about it. I think it has more to do with the person than the airline.

Three years ago they panicked about the pari compressor -- checked it over, scanned it several times and then made DH plug it in and turn it on.</end quote></div>

Guess they never thought THAT could be what would set a bomb off IF thats what it was! LOL

I'm sorry! I realize that its all in behalf of security & keeping us safe. I realize that many of our products/equipment are foreign to people, but it still makes me chuckle!

When I flew to China I called the airline and informed them that I would be bringing on my vest and that it was bigger than a carry on. They made a note on my account that I had permission to bring it on board but NOT to use it haha! They did however count it as my carry-on. That was with US Airways.

Did you get "groped" by the TSA person though? Every single time I fly out of an airport in AZ, I get taken to the side and it's always more than just a pat down. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">
