Special financial assistance in Hawaii?

The awesome thing for us is that my husband is a pilot and is working for an airline there. So thankfully we would not have to worry about the cost of island hopping.
The other wonderful thing, is that I have a community like this that I trust more than my our F center now. I feel so much more abreast of CF news and what is common practice in the CF world on this forum, than anywhere else!!!
Marla, please do check if Tripler takes non-military if you can. I will get to it eventually though, if you can't<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hello,
The Big Island is amazing! We went before we had our son and had plans to go in October, we called our CF center because we read about VOG. We ended up not going.

I agree about the vog. It originates on the Big Island and can be very, very bad. I know we put off a vacation to the Big Island once because the air quality was so poor because of the vog. I would definitely talk to your doctor about that. If your child has asthma issues it would bother him.
My husband told me that civilians cannot be seen at the army hospital.
Hawaii is a WONDERFUL place to live. We absolutely love it and are retiring here. Your child would be able to be active all year round and there so many outdoor things to do.
There is not a high crime rate here. In fact, the crime rate on Oahu is quite low and the crime rate on the Big Island would be even lower than here.
