Starting Solids

Thanks for all your responses. The dietician with my CF clinic did not even call me back<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">isgust;. Maybe she is still on Christmas vacation. However, the lactation consultant and our local pediatrician tried to give me some advice. They were so kind, they stayed late researching to find out if CF babies can benefit from the added calories of solids. This is very interesting, they said they found an article from a very reliable source that says starting solids at 4 months can actually help reduce the amount of food allergens children suffer later in life. This is the exact opposite of what research has been telling us for many years. I went with my mom extinct, and have been giving Sam rice cereal with applesauce, just a little bit, and then breastfeeding him immediately after. We'll take it very slow, and talk to the CF clinic, if they ever call back.
