Steroids for muscle building

Lol @ the posters saying don't do it... the media has scared you all senseless regarding the term 'steroids'.

Unless you abuse steroids, there is little to any harm you can do to your body. Show me one iota of proof, proving they are harmful if used properly, and as intended..... You won't.

When i was 21, i was your height, 5'9.5'', and 126lbs.... theres not much you can do to bulk up other than spend a whole lot of money (that you probably don't have) on food. Don't go eating those 1000-3000 calorie shakes that everyone touts, as they are filled with empty calories that only make you gain some fat, and also make you ***** your brains out 4-5 times a day.

Eat chicken, LOTS of it. Learn to love chicken like it was your only child. Do protein shakes, High protein, and mid range calories (walmart has Body Fortress brand protein powder with 56 grams per 2 scoops and roughly 300 calories).
Lift. Go to the gym 3-5 times per week, and Lift Hard. Lift until the muscle group you are targeting that day fail. ( if done properly, you should be done in an hour or less.) Make sure you incorporate pasta on days you go to the gym.

As for supplements..... Don't start off on steroids just yet. Go to smartpowders.com or similiar, and order the creatine ethyl-esther, along with DAA (asparctic acid, i use the e-pharm brand TestForce2) and use those for 6 months before deciding to use any roids.... (reason is you want to have a base of natural muscle before you go gaining a lot of fake muscle, in which you will lose 40-60 percent of what you gain while on a cycle)

As stated earlier... find low fat foods, that are super high in protein.. fat free cottage cheese, fat free milk, CHICKEN, Turkey, Low calorie high protein content protein shakes, and just eat. Protein intake should be 2x your body weight in grams, and dont really count calories. Eat pasta and rice on days you lift heavy, and an extra protein shake on days you rest.....

I wish i knew what i know now when i was 21, it would have spared me years of agony and figuring out how to gain weight.

Feel free to PM me if you want some more tips... i went from being in my 120's to where i am at now in the mid 170's without using steroids... it is possible, but you need to be dedicated to the gym, and to good quality food as well. The DAA, and Creatine listed above will help all that much better.

Anabolic steroids are great for CF and have almost no side effects when done correctly. Take off your tin-foil hats already.

What would be the downside of discussing this with your Doctor? You may get some really good advice or maybe the people here are smarter than your Doctor. Just wondering.

I have discussed this with my CF doctors and they referred me to the endocrine dr and are pushing the idea. The endo dr has to prescribe it with my insurance and knows the dosing well. Testosterone replacement is common in males with CF. If your doctor doesn't want to help you, you may need to find a new doctors, mine jumped at the idea in a good way.

It is not a healthy way to use the steroids for the muscles building.
Steroids will damage your overall body and lead to serious health complications.
Avoid all kinds of the steroids and go on natural and nutritious foods for the natural muscles building.

Don't knock 5'10" at 125 pounds!
I would like to quote Lyle Alzedo, the Denver Bronco from the days of the "Orange Crush" when Lyle and four of his team mates fell ill from steroid use. His remarks about steroid use are difficult to understand but it was to the effect that when he intended to bulk up his muscle mass he didn't expect to be at the cost of his life*. Lyle died from a massive brain tumor. Doctors stated that his many cancers were directly attributed to the use of anabolic steroids. The other four were also “crushed” to death at too young an age.

*I don’t know if Alzedo actually did make this statement, I swiped it off of Wikipedia.

“I started taking anabolic steroids in 1969 and never stopped. It was addicting, mentally addicting. Now I'm sick, and I'm scared. Ninety percent of the athletes I know are on the stuff. We're not born to be 300 lb (140 kg) or jump 30 ft (9.1 m). But all the time I was taking steroids, I knew they were making me play better. I became very violent on the field and off it. I did things only crazy people do. Once a guy sideswiped my car and I beat the hell out of him. Now look at me. My hair's gone, I wobble when I walk and have to hold on to someone for support, and I have trouble remembering things. My last wish? That no one else ever dies this way”.

Lyle Alzedo
Denver Bronco, NFL Super Bowl Champian, 1949-1992

Have your testosterone level checked, it is OK to keep that at peak levels for your age.

Good Luck,

LL

At the risk of offending some contributors, what is passing for over the counter anabolic steroids can be far more dangerous than straight doping. Certain precursor agents contained in over the counter (OTC) " "steroids" are altered by the liver, producing an amount of an anabolic steroid. How much steroid and exactly what anabolic steroid? And what else is produced, metabolized or stored in fat cells? In order to sell any CIII steroid, a prescription and a legitimate Pharmacy are needed.

Regarding CF, we often must take steroids to augment antibiotics or mitigate arthritis. Testosterone, adrenaline and other agents we either generate or take, put the body in sort of a hyper-drive reaction to wasting, infection and pain. See an endocrinologist.

Most likely the doctor so interested in your lungs is a lung doctor or pulmonologist. If you want a straight shooter on the topic, an endocrinologist is both practical and a safe approach to augmenting anabolic steroids to gain muscle mass. Most doctors believe a 21yr old man couldn't possibly be low on testosterone or other muscle building hormones and such. I had dropped to about 50% of normal by age thirty. It is literally stimulating to suddenly have a hormone like testosterone doubled overnight. You can get the same kick with effective OTC "steroids" and with no doctor and no idea of your steroid level you should be able to get my tin hat flat as the brim in no time. It's a thought.
