Hi everyone - well 3 months ago we were given the green light to try for a baby, this was the best news in the world. I am 22 and my common law Jason is 26 we are wanting so very badly to start a family. My lungs were steady for 5 years now until 3 weeks ago when i went through surgery to have gull-bladder out that knocked my lungs down sooo much the doc says now NO it is not in my best interest. Nor would it be once i get better, as this would be a sign to show my lungs cant handle the stress.
Does anyone know where to start and where to look for information on surrogacy pregnancies? I have 2 family members willing god bless their souls to carry our child for us. But where do we begin????? Help me ladies!

If you haven't already - i would start with googling it. You never know what will pop up. Also - maybe your nearest RE's office could give you some advice.

Good Luck!

You can get info and support at this site: http://www.fertilethoughts.com/ they boards were WONDERFUL and so helpful to me through my IVF.

Your first step would be to schedule an appointment with a reproductive endocronologist to get your family member(s) medically evaluated.

Where do you live? I can recommend 1 good location in CA and 1 in WA.

My sister is becoming a surrogate this month for a couple. I would seriously go to a lawyer, I know if it's your family member you won't want to, but her contract is 30+ pages long. Sooooo many things to think about that you wouldn't even dream up!
My sister looked it up via the computer, so I'd start there. If you have specific questions, PM me.

Good luck!
