sweat

I too am a human salt lick, which is why my rabbit loves me. How much I sweat depends on which medications I'm on. Although there's a lot of salt in my sweat, I don't really sweat all that much. My dad has very inactive sweat glands, and I think I inherited that from him.

I get very uncomfortable in humidity though--even when it's just steam from the shower when my hubby forgets to run the exhaust fan.

Ok this has always really puzzled me.....i don't sweat very much at all. I can do an entire workout (weights only though) and not even break a sweat. I can't wear deoderant anymore as I've developed a sensitivity to it, but it doesn't matter as my underarms don't really get smelly between showers. I sweat minimally underarms and back/chest only if I do a cardio workout (a 20 minute run or so), but compared to most other people....i'm the sweatless wonder and always have been. I have NEVER in my entire life had sweat dripping down my face like I see people with at the gym.
I have no idea what these 'salt crystal' type things are that many of you say form on your skin and even on equipment you use a lot.
Apart from the very obvious (i.e. CF!!) what on earth is wrong with me???

<begin quote>Originally posted by: Rokiss12okay, so i do. its so embarassing. i know us Cfers have more salt in our sweat...but does anyone else sweat like a ton. on normal summer days i have to change my shirt like 2-3 times a day. and on a normal winter day, i have to use intense deoderant/anti persperant and change my shirt sometimes once during the school day. its so akwarddd... am i the only one? i've talked to my mom about it and im starting to seriously consider the surgery for w/e the excess sweat condition is called...or atleast botox in my arm pits.</end quote>

I remember how embarassing it was to be a sweat monster in high school. I think what helped me is looking at the underarms of everyone else to see if they were sweating. Every once in a while, I'd even catch one of the popular kids with wet arm pits. It is just something I quietly noted to myself to make me realize everyone else is probably just as self-conscious as I was. Now, I don't really care if I sweat. The way I see it, if people are going to judge me because I sweat, its probably not worth knowing them in the first place. I might fart, too, just to see if they judge me for that. I think you can tell a lot about a person's character by how they react to stuff like that.

A little gross, but does anybody get butt sweat from sitting too long? Then when i get up I have wet butt (i don't sweat enough to where people can see it, but I can feel it). It always makes me worry if maybe I had a wet fart somewhere along the line and didn't know it. (sorry to be gross, but its true)

Yep, Mockingbird, I had several times where the seat of my pants had a "wet shadow" that matched my chair!
It always happened at work, where the chairs just didn't "Breathe"! And, the uniforms they gave us seemed to be exclusively good on absorbing the sweat real good!
I had to shrug it off, sometimes try and stand a little longer, or go for a coffee break, somewhere so my pants would dry a little bit (Think I even put a fan on them directly to try and dry out!).
