swine flu

So, I heard today that one of my student's siblings has swine flu. It sounds like it is her half sibling and that although she may have been exposed to it, she is not currently living with him for the time being. Do you guys think I need to do anything special? Or just keep being vigilant about the hand washing, etc?

Personally, I would ask one of my doctors in that situation. I've heard some scary things about how it can affect people with "underlying conditions." Guess there probably really isn't much you can do, though.

Hi
I'm in Australia which is/was in the grip of swine flu for the last couple of months. I'm pretty sure Lachy had it a couple of weeks ago but they have stopped testing due to the huge number of cases.
He was sick for about 4-5 days with fever and coughing. Had residual cough for about two weeks and is back to normal now.
So, luckily for him it was no worse than a lot of viruses that he has had.
