After finding out that our hospital sent my dd's blood work to the wrong lab, I wrote a letter outlining my disappointment with the mistake and have made a new "friend" who has helped me to ensure this mistake will not happen again.
So, since we were at the hospital for a study she is participating in, we went today to have her blood redrawn. I am literally praying they will arrive where they are supposed to go (to ambry).
We had such a terrible experience with the last blood draw (my dd is terrified of needles) that I took my dd to the unit I work on and had one of my nurse friends draw her blood. She was still nervous, but no kicking, screaming and shouting "I hate you" to anyone. I was so pround of her.
Our hospital is "taking care" of thier mistake in sending the last blood to the wrong lab and has assurred me they will make it right with our insurance company. Ahhh, the power of a well worded letter. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
So once again, the blood is on its way, and we are waiting for results.
