I'm definitely "salty." When I get sweaty, I can taste the salt on my own lips or any food I hold in my hand for a minute before eating. Often I have salt on my face--if I wipe my forehead after the sweat dries, there are actually salt crystals left on my hand.

When I was diagnosed my grandma was a nurse. Over the years of being a nurse she picked up many methods of how to tell who should be tested for what. My parents tested me for CF because she useda method were you "lick the baby". When she used this method she knew to have me tested because I tasted salty.

Yep, that used to be the "slogan" for CF. A long time ago they used to run ads that warned if your baby tasted salty to get them tested. Too much sweat leaving the body...that's why Cfers supplement their salt intake.

Yes! I definitely taste salty, especially in the summer. I used to play soccer and during games you could actually see little salt grains on my legs and the tops of my arms...so you're not alone!

Oh, that's just great. Of course it has to do with the goddamn CF.
After hiking up a mountain I could see the salt on my arms. It was discusting.
Does EVERYTHING wrong with me have to do with CF?? That's just effing great.

I know my parents used to say I was salty. And now mt boyfriend says I taste really salty but he dont think its grossly salty he just says that when he kisses me on the check or forehead he gets his daily dose of salt. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
