Terrible, TERRIBLE CF Clinic!

We had issues similar to this with our local clinic. I began to request doctor's notes, culture, labs, xray reports as well after each visit rather than taking a phone call from a nurse indicating he "was fine" and finding out his reports said otherwise.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Portland. Have you ever used Bangor? I don't know anything about it & maybe Boston would be better anyway but I thought if Bangor is good it might be closer? Liza had good advice too that I think applies to any doctor visit for any person in todays medical world..........

Sadly Mel.
I have learned the term "Accredited CF Center" Really doesn't mean much anymore.

Your going to Find Good and Bad Clinics, Accredited or Not..

You just have to Find the right one For You.
The same Goes For Docs. Some just go through the Motions.

Yeah I realize this, but its still better then having no guidelines. If you report a non compliant accredited center....it could make a difference. If you go to a non accredited or a regular pulmonologist & have the same issues....it wouldnt do anything!
