When I do tharapy I always pace, either outside or near a sink (for obvious reasons). But I am VERY irresponsible, VERY easily distracted, and pretty horrible at putting things off.
So how do you all do your tharapy (Flutter Valve, Acapella, etc.) from start to finish. If I REALLY buckle down and do it non-stop I can get my flutter done in 20 minutes. But I usually end up getting ditracted to where I can go an hour or more, sometimes my brother works on the computer while doing tharapy and he just ends up doing tharapy spiratically all day.
I've learned a lot of useful things, such as I CAN NOT talk to anybody while I'm doing tharapy. If the TV is on, forget it (I end up stopping tharapy without realizing it so that I can hear what they are saying on TV).
I've tried doing stair steppers or some kind of work out while doing tharapy, and setting reps with tharapy etc., but Tharapy is tiring enough, and doing both sometimes makes my lungs hurt.
I'm in the process of getting a vest, so that should help me focus on Flutter if I do both with the Vest timer. We'll see.
I honestly think most of it comes down to the fact that I'm a huge procratinator, and I just HATE doing tharapy, so I psychologically put it off and put it off and I just dread it.
If anybody else has this problem please let me know, and what seems to help you with it.
