I, personally, think there is a time & a place for such, but in this case I feel its not necessarily what is needed. Kids in foster care as a rule have been through some type of hell & back which may have included physical abuse. Its not quite as cut & dry in this situation not to mention any legal issues with that form of discipline when fostering these kids....

It is amazing how different areas have different beliefs in child rearing tho LOL!

Haley, I never thought that you were a bad parent or anything. I was just thinkin of the foster child issue. I definitely believe that different things work for different children. Now that our son is adopted, he does get spanked occassionaly, for certain reasons. I would never think that you were a terrible parent!
