The Hungry Pill

yeah the cream is a GREAT idea!! i'll definitely do that.

and unfortunately, she doesnt' like eggs. it's so hard to get her to eat fatty foods that are high in calories. she would live off cereal, fruits, and vegetables if i let her!!

Just curious, what drug is it? My daughter is 3 and has not been into eating lately. I am concerned that they won't be happy with her weight next month, so I thought about asking about it. Is it ciproheptadine?? (btw, kind of funny to me because I am a vet and we use that to make cats eat <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My daughter just started taking ciproheptodine because she is not gaining weight. I thought about Reglan but I found some scary information about it. Anyone else heard about this? I just copied part of the article.

Reglan (metoclopramide) isby Baxter Healthcare Corporation and is used to treat a drug manufactured gastrointestinal conditions in children and adults. On February 26th, 2009 the FDA released a statement regarding side effects caused from the use of Reglan. It has been found that long term or high dose use of Reglan has been linked to Tardive Dyskinesia, an involuntary muscle movement, found usually in the face or tongue but also in the extremities or trunk.

Symptoms and Signs of Tardive Dyskinesia:

Facial grimacing

Repetitive chewing

Jaw swinging

Tongue thrusting
