Intellegence is insigificant for when it comes time to vote</end quote></div>

Hence we get 8 years of George W Bush. Hence we nose dive into a misguided war with Iraq.</end quote></div>

So does this mean that over 33% of the votes were from unintelligent voters, meaning he was voted into office twice?! (Personally, I don't think so)

I wouldn't say unintelligent, I'd probably say uninformed. John Kerry was a paper candidate who folded like an accordion to Rove's swiftboat poitics. In 2004, the Republithugs claimed that we'd have another terrorist attack if we don't re-elect George Bush to protect us. They played the fear card, and that close to 9/11, it worked wonders. When confronted with the chance of another terrorist attack, even the most intellectual of us will vote for the default candidate.
In 2000, the atmosphere was great, as everyone and the country were at ease and unemployment was low with no budget deficits. There seemed no significant risk voting for a GOP ticket, and to many Al Gore seemed to, should I say elitist.
But I think Brad is somewhat right, It's really hard, especially after the election of 2000, to actually believe that the Presidential election is the result of the will of the people, actually It seems to be on who has more power and influence, and W had a plethora of political connections thanks to his pops.
