the vest

We just got ours too, and I'm so excited to begin using it. Ellie turned two last month, and though she actually enjoys her manual CPT, I'm not sure how she'll feel about the vest.

If we find something that works, I will definitely pass it on, and please feel free to do the same!

Hi. I'm definitely not savvy with these chats. Please tell me the criteria for these vests. My granddaughter was diagnosed in March of these year. She was 5 years old. My daughter has just had the kids removed by child protective services because the school feels that she should have one of these vests and she should not be allowed to take part in recess. She is currently being seen by a asthma and allergy specialist who does not think a vest is necessary. Can someone point me in the right direstion to set this school straight and get the kids back to my daughter? I would appreciate any help.
Thank you,
Maga2

ok, this irritates me to here that someone thinks that its not necessary!! The vest is at least 7 times more effective than CPT. They have to be out of their mind to think that. Is she going to a pulmonoglist? or just seeing the asthma and allergy doctor? Any CF specailist will tell you the vest is a huge part of their treatment!!

I agree with Tonya...my son is 2 and loves playing with me or dad during his vest time. I have some toys and activities that he only does while using the vest. I keep them in small bins and he usually tells me what he wants to play with. Right now he loves playdough. He's also enjoyed cutting paper w/a blunt scissors, coloring with markers, lego, and those magnetix for little kids. I started him slowly, just a few minures a day and adding a minute each day.
Good luck!
