Well...I suppose I should be quiet now...I have someone who apparently is a devout follower of Jesus. That is fine. Nothing at all wrong with that. But they are castrating me for demanding of fact, when there is literally nothing besides predisposed scripture to substantiate their main deity. Their is no "factual" basis for anything from your perspective, yet you demand it from me. To me, this movie has been a movie that has helped me put the previous orphaned puzzle pieces into place. I knew about Y, I knew about W, I knew about T, but I did not see why/how those things could possibly be related. I went to college. I was educated. I graduated with a very high GPA. That means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, because it is just other people parlaying their views, biasness, and strengths into my mind. I am only whole when I 100% (or as close as possible) make up my own mind. I use logic, facts, statistical probability, and general psychology to understand what the ground my feet is placed upon, is made of.
I understand the main reason you have a problem with this movie is due to the religious aspect. That is fine. You can believe in a giant flying cookie monster that will come and save you from your life of horrible suffocation via cystic fibrosis. I don't care. Whatever floats your boat and makes you happy, and your life more fulfilled to me, is fine with me. But you are obviously uneasy knowing that people will look deeper into the epidemiology of religion.
Let's just say for the sake of argument everything I have said or referenced to is completely fake, and purposely misleading...Shouldn't you push your flock towards knowledge, data, and general information, even if it could possibly be incorrect? Wouldn't a proper shepherd want their flock to be exposed to all sorts of perspectives regarding their beliefs...To possibly realize that their way is indeed, the "way"?
If I at any point take your spiritual opiate away, please let me know. I will find another avenue to continue this discussion on...At least your church has asylum from the tax man...I know I don't
